CTPF Trustee Bernice Eshoo Announces Retirement

News

CTPF extends its congratulations and best wishes for a long,
happy, and productive retirement to CTPF Trustee Bernice Eshoo,
who announced her retirement from CPS after 34 years of service.
A tireless advocate for students, Trustee Eshoo has been a
dedicated volunteer for various student-focused organizations and
has served on several other committees and boards in addition to
her duties as a CTPF Trustee.

With her retirement, Trustee Eshoo has also resigned from the
CTPF Board of Trustees. Trustee Eshoo was appointed to the CTPF
Board of Trustees in July 2013 and reelected in 2016. She served
in a variety of leadership positions, including Recording
Secretary and co-Chair of the Personnel Committee. She is also a
Chicago Teachers Union (CTU) elected trustee and executive board
member, and has chaired the CTU scholarship committee while also
serving on several other committees.

“On behalf of our Board of Trustees and the CTPF staff, I offer
sincere thanks to Trustee Eshoo for her years of dedicated
service to CTPF and its members, and wish her all the best in her
retirement,” said Charles A. Burbridge, CTPF Executive Director.
