The Chicago Teachers’ Pension Fund (CTPF) is deeply saddened by the passing of Bea Lumpkin at the age of 107. Bea was one of CTPF’s most senior members who dedicated her life to fighting for workers’ rights, social justice, and education.

In 2025, Bea attended CTPF’s 130th Anniversary Celebration as a recipient of the Jane Addams Living Legacy Award, honoring supercentenarians whose lives reflect lasting legacy and impact. Bea inspired attendees through her commitment to change and her example of how one person can create multigenerational impact.
