Miller-May Named Top 30 Public Pension Chief Investment Officers

Congratulations to CTPF Chief Investment Officer Angela Miller-May who has been named to Trusted Insight’s 2019 Top 30 List of Public Pension Chief Investment Officers.

Chief Investment officers and their respective teams manage billions in financial assets. The Top 30 List, produced annually, highlights long-term investment leaders who apply their experience and expertise to navigate markets and produce stable, consistent results.

“We are proud of Angela and the recognition she has received from her peers,” said CTPF Executive Director Charles A. Burbridge. “This is the latest in a long line of accolades that highlight both Angela’s leadership and her team’s outstanding performance managing our Fund’s assets.”

Angela Miller-May has been with CTPF since 2010 has acted in several progressively responsible positions at CTPF including Director of Investments, Portfolio Manager-Alternative Investment, and Investment Operations Analyst-Risk Management. Under her leadership, she has increased the investment of total assets with Minority, Women and Persons with Disabilities owned managers from 33% to 44%, positioning CTPF as a leader among U.S. pension plans in the encouragement of Diversity and Inclusion. Her responsibilities include reviewing asset allocations, developing investment strategies, evaluating and recommending investment opportunities, analyzing valuation and risk metrics, and ensuring compliance.
